China Battles New Avian Flu Outbreak

The Chinese government is fighting a fresh major outbreak of avian influenza virus H5N1 in southern China, according to the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE). It says the outbreak was first reported on 11 September at a duck farm in the city of Zhanjiang, in Guangdong province.
