We decided it looked worth it for the view. They have great cocktails and the food was so fresh and delicious. We ate there twice over the space of a few days as it was so good. Good food but not good enough to put up with that level of service. We were delighted we had the headsets as it was so busy it was hard to get in to read the displays. After we ordered some drinks came quickly and we had to chase others and chase more water. Everything was freshly cooked and they were very aware of coeliac friendly options.

Five min later a waitress came and gave us menus. Food was gorgeous and there was no issue with getting dishes modified for someone with coeliac disease. It was really good definitely worth a visit. They may have been busier than normal as I visited during school holidays. We drove ourselves and parked five min away in the old railway museum car park.

She was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. We had to get the bill amended as one speciality coffee we ordered never arrived but was still on the bill. Big bedrooms and bathrooms separate shower and bath with robes and slippers provided and we were in room 218 and the views of the lake and mountains was unreal. I understand the fee covers maintenance etc but the charge is excessive. I thought it would be bigger though! These little touches were annoying for a five star property. The cabin itself had a kettle, toaster and two cups but had only one glass, one each of plastic cutlery and a Hodge podge of straws, napkins etc that seemed to be left behind by other guests.

If don't mind a five min walk you can save a lot of money! The waiting staff were very friendly and polite but we waited ages to order, get more water etc. We had prawns and cod fritters to start. It's free to walk down and see it but if you drive in to the car park of the visitors centre you will be charged 12. Some plates were cleared while others were still eating then no service check in for ages. Gorgeous crab claws, chowder and seafood platter. We asked what fish was fresh and he brought out prawns and what we think was sea bream.

There was a queue to get in and once at the top they couldn't find our names on the list and the waiter, while I am sure he was trying to be funny, asked me did I not know my own name. Had breakfast there one day and they were so helpful at arranging gluten free for me. My partner loved the Guinness Brown bread. Breakfast the next morning was also hectic. The owner got us a second glass for our wine and was friendly and polite.

There's a free bus from Bushmills town centre every few hours over the Summer. The sangria was lovely and there was a good choice of tapas. Eric and Oscar were just lovely. We were there on a Sat in late July and it was so so busy. Turns out that was missing from our room in the first place. Small gym but good selection and again so so clean.

There was a great buzz and even a singing chef at the end! There were two weddings on that day and there was quite a delay checking in. The table was ready two hours after we first arrived 7. Food arrived in ok time and food was lovely but again asked several times for more aioli and none arrived. We got lots of useful information from Annette and Paul and we really felt we made the most of our trip. I received a reply stating they would review and act on issues raised so these may not happen again. We were seated at the time of our booking but no one came near us to take drinks orders or give us menus.

It's only a five min walk up to the causeway visitors centre then and you just walk in for free. It's the only reason I didn't give five stars. Breakfast is cooked fresh to order and there is plenty of choice for everyone. There is plenty of parking and you can sit out in the garden when the weather is good. This is really boutique and we had a great time here.
